After nine successful years trading as an individual in the merchanting of ropes, chains and loadbinders and also hiring and supplying tarpaulins, Mr. Beal formed the company, Tony Beal Limited.

Since it's launch in May 1979, we have worked closely with the haulage trade, initiating in 1980 the manufacture of lifting slings and securing straps for load-lashing, and producing a fine knotless nylon netting, "Netpaulin" for which Tony Beal Limited is now famous.


As part of our continuing drive for excellence Tony Beal Limited became the first Tarpaulin Manufacturing company in the UK to attain British Standards Institute registration to BS 5750 (part 2) (ISO9001:2000) - Certificate No.Q5512 - in 1987, and in 1989 we were granted a licence to use the BS Kitemark on our tarpaulins - another step in the provision of high quality products.

In order to fulfil customer demand South of the Border, the company acquired another tarpaulin manufacturer, in Newcastle-Under-Lyme, giving us a second base.

Tony Beal Ltd. also have partnerships with companies such as CV Components of Inverness who provide collection and repair services in the Highlands and Islands.


In 1991 the company became a member of AWLREM (the Association of Webbing and Load Restraint Equipment Manufacturers). Nowadays, Tony Beal Limited continues to maintain its high standards and initiatives for improvement, introducing full computerisation for the streamlining of customer servicing and stock control to allow prompt and efficient response to our customers' orders; offering technical backup and advice on specific requirements as well as maintaining a high stock level of all standard items.



In 1993 the company became Ministry of Defence Quality Assurance Approved - Certificate No. 4XHB01 - and has since fulfilled numerous orders for the Government.

In 1998 our company introduced the sale of Sports Covers, a range of flags, banners, signs and further products for use within the professional sports industry. These products include the revolutionary Mini Dome which aids turf repair in any weather condition, and also Fast Grow sheets which provide extreme protection for turf against frost, as well as greatly assisting germination.

With the arrival of the millennium, Tony Beal Ltd. invested heavily in new plant and equipment, and through our continuing expansive investment programme we have enlarged our customer base, both throughout the UK and internationally. Nevertheless, we still seek to increase our production and sales worldwide, with an eye to breaking into new markets.

Tony Beal Limited, now with two manufacturing bases, produces and merchants a varied range of products, from tarpaulins to brewery drop-bags, and has a fleet of delivery vans covering the UK to satisfy the requirements of the haulage, construction and oil-related industries, amongst many others.
